well, i just finished seeing Juno for the first time about ten minutes ago. definitely one of the best movies i've seen for the first time in a while. it manages to remain funny while still addressing important societal issues without trying to be deep. it's got some of the best sarcastic lines ever. highly recommended for anyone under the age of fifty.
on to the second topic: what i term Savage Syndrome. this occurs when, while watching a movie, you know that someone's about to do something really stupid, so you go and get a drink of water or go to the bathroom or something like that. i don't know why exactly it happens, but it's an interesting phenomena, kind of the reverse of Schadenfreude
