Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

well, i went to see the new Indiana Jones movie yesterday, and i highly reccommend it. i'll try not to give spoilers while still giving people the general feel of the movie. the action scenes are quite good, as is the humor and banter. however, much of the exposition and "catching-up" is a bit dry, trying to throw more emotion into a movie where it really isn't needed. Harrison Ford does a pretty wonderful job of being badass while still acting like the character's getting on in years. in the opening scene, Jones is dumped out of the back of a car and his hat rolls out behind him. rather than seeing his face, we first see his shadow as he dons his trademark fedora. the effect is quite good. if you go see the movie, listen closely for the Star Wars reference. you'll know what it is. Shia LaBeouf and Cate Blanchett are also very good as a sidekick and a villain, respectively. all in all, excellent, if shallow, summer fun.
